Which embroidery technique should you choose?
Traditional embroidery uses different stitches to create lines, textures and shapes. You’ll use a sharp needle to make stitches on a fabric base following a design that is printed or drawn on the fabric.
Cross stitch uses one simple stitch to create, often intricate, designs using a blunt needle on fabric which has obvious holes. Using a chart you count the holes in the fabric to make each stitch in the right place to stitch the design.
Tapestry uses one simple stitch and a blunt needle with a large eye. The design is printed onto a canvas with large open holes so it’s easy to create perfect, even stitches that completely cover the canvas.
Punch needle uses a special tool to create stitches that are flat on one side and loopy on the other. You can use fine thread or thicker yarn to create different effects following a design that is printed or drawn on the fabric.
Find your favourite with this bundle that allows you to try all five kits, learn embrodiery, cross stitch, tapestry, punch needle and fine punch needle.
