Joanna Saunders, founder of Sew & Saunders, is the embroidery artist behind this rubber plants design. One look at her Instagram page and you are wonderfully overwhelmed by verdant displays of foliage—beautifully compelling viewers to appreciate the natural world.
Watch the shape and texture of the leaves come to life in this intermediate-level embroidery pattern. The flowing forms of the rubber plants create contrast detailing that sets this design apart from the rest. We think you'll love it whether it's on an embroidery hoop, a throw pillow, or your shirt pocket!

Joanna Saunders is a London based artist who first learned how to stitch when she 6 years old while on a trip to Greece with her mother. After her first project embellishing a bag, she's never stopped! She currently draws inspiration from fashion designers and photographers, particularly the work of Tim Walker for his use of textures.
