In the world of Facebook and Instagram, the little old postcard can seem archaic. But you know better than to count these oldies but goodies out. In fact, you know that it’s time the postcard is celebrated. That’s what makes this crochet pattern so amazing. Not only does it give you a chance to hone your crochet skills, but you also get to highlight these mementos of your travels. Check out the pattern here.
- 1 - 50 g ball of DMC Natura Just Cotton color N99 Sichuau
- 1 - 50 g ball of DMC Natura Just Cotton color N86 Brique
- 1 - 50 g ball of DMC Natura Just Cotton color N81 Acanthe
- 1 - 50 g ball of DMC Natura Just Cotton color N37 Canelle
- 3 mm crochet hook
rnd – Round
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
st – stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
On the back of the postcard, using the rule and the pencil, make a line 0’4 inch from the edge. Repeat with the four sides of the postcard and mark the intersections.
Divide equally each side, making a mark every 0'8 inches, approximately.
With the puncher, make a hole in every mark you made.
Pass the hook through one of the holes to start weaving.
SINGLE CROCHET LACE
3 sc together into each hole. Make 3sc, 3ch, 3sc in the same hole at every corner. Repeat all around the postcard. Sl st.
DOUBLE CROCHET LACE
1 sc into one hole, 3 ch. Make 1sc, 6ch, 1sc in the same hole at every corner. Repeat all around the postcard.
1sc into the sc, 3 dc into the 3 ch. Make 7dc at every corner. Repeat all around the postcard. Sl st.
