I may be DMC's biggest fan. So I was more than thrilled when DMC reached out to me to try out their new line of DMC Diamant and Diamant Grandé thread. When I received the box from DMC I was blown away by the packaging but even more into the beautiful new threads. The Diamant Grandé thread comes in 6 shades, three tones of gold, and three tones of silver, all of which are stunning.
I'm no stranger to the metallic threads ( Light Effects , Pearl Metallic Cotton and Metallic Embroidery Thread ) and have used DMC metallic threads in the past. While I love the metallic thread colors and end result, the only issue I had with the thread was that it was hard to combine multiple strands together. I'm a fan of big, bold stitches. Therefore, it was frustrating that the metallic threads did not come together as DMC Six-Strand Embroidery Floss does.
Enter the new DMC Diamant thread! Because it's a single strand thread, it's more comparable to DMC Six-Strand Embroidery Floss. The DMC Diamant thread is equivalent to 2 strands of DMC Six-Strand Embroidery Floss, while DMC Diamant Grandé is equivalent to 4 strands of embroidery floss. For me, that's exactly what I've been looking for!
I wanted to test the new DMC Diamant Grandé and opted for the gorgeous color G225. The Rose Gold color stood out when I saw it! I was a few stars in and was immediately hooked. These are the strong, thick stitches I've been looking for!
I can not wait to start creating with Diamant and Diamant Grandé thread and add a little more sparkle and shine into my embroidery work. Thanks for reading! Click here for details on a special offer for you!
