    Instructions: 

    Stitches

    Seed Stitch: Cast on an even number of sts. Row 1: * K1, p1; rep from * to end of row. Row 2: * P1, k1; rep from * to end of row. Rep Rows 1 and 2 for pattern.

    Garter Stitch K1 to end of row and repeat.

     

    Children’s Bow

    Square

    Cast on 15 stitches Seed stitch 35 rows Bind off

    Center Wrap Strip

    Cast on 6 stitches Seed Stitch 25 rows Bind off.

    Gather the square in the middle to make the bow shape. Sew a stitch through the gather to secure the bow.

    Wrap the bow with the center wrap strip and join the edges. Attach the clip.

     

    Adult Bow Tie

    Make sure to measure around the neck before starting a project.

    Square

    Cast on 22 stitches Seed stitch 50 rows. Bind off.

    Center Wrap Strip

    Cast on 6 stitches Seed Stitch 25 rows Bind off.

    For the neck band

    Cast on 8 stitches and knit about 30 cm with garter stitch (to make it more stretchy) Bind off.

    Gather the square in the middle to make the bow shape. Sew a stitch through the gather to secure the bow.

    Attach the larger strip to the bow and wrap the bow with the center wrap strip and join the edges. We will use also 1 .” of elastic that will be sewn at the ends of the neck band.
