The painter Maria Torrontegui was born in Spain and studied art in Paris before founding her own art school in Barcelona.

Her talent, her technique and her ways of using light and colours have brought her huge success as an artist.

She often looks to nature - especially its landscapes and flora - for the inspiration for her realistic paintings charged with poetry and emotion.
