Soluble Canvas, is taking needlework to a new level, now you really can cross stitch almost anywhere!

Perfect for customising home décor items such as cushions and pillows, as well as almost any clothing garment, DMC’s Soluble Canvas is a revolution.

The 14ct Soluble Canvas is used in exactly the same way as Aida when stitching, all you need to do is choose your design, tack the canvas to your chosen material and cross stitch as usual……simply place the finished design in a bowl of warm water and the canvas disappears leaving you with a customised unique piece of clothing or home décor item!

Instructions to use Soluble Canvas :

Items required to complete your stitching :

- Mouliné Sepcial DMC Stranded Cotton
- A 26ct cross stitch needle
- Scissors
- An embroidery hoop
- A piece of Soluble Canvas.

Put the Soluble Canvas on your fabric where you want to do your stitching. With large stitches tack into place.

Caution: Ensure the tacking line is larger than the design you will stitch inside.

Place the fabric and Soluble Canvas together in an embroidery hoop and cross stitch by following the instructions on the cross stitch chart.

When the embroidery is finished, carefully cut and pull out the tacking stitches. 

Put your stitched fabric in a bowl with a large volume of hot soapy water (between 40 and 50°C). Let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes and stir it gently from time to time. The Soluble Canvas will melt and disappear! Rinse with plenty of hot water.

For drying, follow the care instructions of your garment.
