DMC Light Effects Thread

DMC Light Effects is a range of 36 glistening specialty threads. The gorgeous shades include Precious Metals, Jewels, Antiques, Pearlescent shades, plus trendy Fluorescents and Glow-in-the-Dark tones.

If you want to add a special glitter and dimension to any piece of stitching then the DMC Light Effects threads work wonderfully when used in combination with DMC stranded cotton. Both threads are the same thickness and it is possible to add a subtle highlights to stitching by combining one strand of cotton with one strand of Light Effects. DMC recommend using a slip knot when threading a needle with Light Effects threads. This will hold the thread in place while stitching. DMC Light Effects are also washable and can be ironed on a low setting. They can be used on a variety of projects and are perfect when couched by machine or by hand. There are 8m per skein.

DMC Satin Threads

Add some gloss and glamour to your festive stitching The latest addition to the innovative range of DMC Speciality threads is DMC Satin . It is a 100% rayon thread with a touch as soft as silk and a glow reminiscent of all the jewels from the Orient.

The brightness of Satin will light up all patchwork and quilting designs as well as add depth and a touch of luxury to embellishing and customising. Its palette of 36 shimmering colours allows stitchers to bring a touch of elegance and refinement to all pieces of work . This lustrous six-strand thread glides through fabric easily and brings an exceptional beauty and sheen to projects. There are 8m per skein.

Participating DMC stockists are currently offering stitchers some free colourful Christmas mini motif leaflets with a range of simple designs suitable for cards, gifts, decorations and table linen. The leaflets also include alphabets and borders.
