How to use waste canvas ?

Cut a piece of waste canvas the size of the motif to be stitched. Stitch the waste canvas on the fabric to be stitched.
Sew through the canvas and supporting fabric without inserting the needle into the weft of the waste canvas.
It is advisable to use an embroidery hoop to stretch the canvas. Once you have finished stitching, pull each thread and the cross-stitch motif will appear.
